Babyjo Bamboo New Season Colours

As if we needed any more reasons to fall in love with Babyjo Bamboo, the new season colours are icing on the cake. New Pink or Blue trim on white are now on the menu, and available in the Short Sleeve Bodysuit and Footed Kimono Romper. As well, there’s the absolutely gorgeous new Raspberry trim on Latte available in the Footed Kimono Romper, Double Layer Pyjamas, the Stud Front Romper, and the 2 Layer Blanket – why oh why was this colourway not here when my babies were in rompers! These new colours definitely run true to the unique look we love Babyjo for.

SO after a little photo display, I am going to run over the benefits of Bamboo Fabric below, because as great as it is in it’s own merit, it has so many great properties it deserves a routine spruik to keep us all up to date.

Oh and these little lovelies are a couple weeks away – due to arrive mid July – so you need to stay tuned on Facebook where the stock arrival will be announced or contact us to pre-order your Babyjo hot off the press!

Why choose Bamboo for clothing? Bamboo is fast becoming a well known organic option for clothing, and it’s no wonder, considering it has so many wonderful qualities:
Organically grown
Eco friendly & Sustainable – fastest growing plant on the earth and it improves soil quality as well
Biodegradable
Softer than the softest Cotton imaginable
Highly breathable, much more so than cotton
60% more absorbent than cotton.
Wonderful for Eczema and allergy sufferers – Soothing to the skin
Wicks away moisture to keep you fresh and dry
Odour resistant – great for babies!
Washes and irons beautifully

Bamboo… Isn’t it rough and scratchy? A common question (until you feel it) – the idea of clothing made from bamboo conjures up thoughts of scratchy, itchy clothing, however don’t be mislead by your mind! Bamboo fabric is super soft, luxuriant and definitely something that you would be happy to clothe your bub in. It can best be described as a cross between silk and cashmere, lightweight, yet clever enough to keep bub warm in winter and cool in summer (thermo regulating).

Is Bamboo antibacterial? Bamboo (the plant) has it’s own antibacterial and anti fungal properties, thanks to a natural substance in the plant (Bamboo Kun) which helps it to fight off disease and insects. The finished fabric retains these properties.

Why is Bamboo good for allergy and eczema sufferers?
Bamboo is more breathable than cotton, and so it is wonderful for Eczema and Allergy sufferers. There is a noticeable difference in the feel between bamboo and cotton, it is so soft and comforting – this can be attributed to the structure of the fibre, which is smooth and round – it caresses the skin, instead of rubbing on it. Bamboo fibre is also hypoallergenic when compared to other fabrics as it is not treated with a chemical antimicrobial during production – (this is sometimes added to other fabrics to create antibacterial properties.) Bamboo absorbs moisture (limitation of water contact is important in managing eczema as it dries out the skin) and keeps baby’s body fresh for hours.

Little Stitches is a designer company that’s relatively new to the scene, but they’re sure to have a large impact! Their imaginative and creative designs are sure to be a hit with the little ones.

These designers, and many more mums have created unique and stylish online shopping businesses in a way that allows them to spend time with their children whilst sharing their abundant creative talents with a global market.
